When will the health insurance charge appear on my student account?

The academic year health insurance charge is split evenly between the fall and spring semester.  The fall portion is typically listed on the fall billing statement in July and the spring portion is typically listed on the spring billing statement in December.

My department said I will receive a health insurance subsidy; when will that be applied to my student account?

It depends on your funding source. Generally, your fall subsidy will be applied to your student account in October and your spring subsidy, if eligible, will be applied in December. If you are not receiving a subsidy, you should pay the health insurance charge each semester by the deadline listed on the IRISHPAY statement on which the health insurance charge is listed. If you are unable to pay the health insurance charge by that time, please contact our office to make satisfactory payment arrangements.

How do I waive the health insurance?

If you have private health insurance and do no wish to participate in the University-sponsored insurance plan, you must complete a waiver form and show proof of insurance to University Health Services. For additional information, including the deadline to submit a waiver form and provide proof of other insurance, please visit the University Health Services website.
