How does a student grant access in IRISHPAY to an authorized payer?

To grant an authorized payer (parents/guardians) access to your IRISHPAY account:

  • Log in to insideND
  • Enter IRISHPAY in the search bar
  • Click on the "IRISHPAY for Students" icon
  • Enter your netID and password when prompted
  • Select "Authorized Payers" and click "Add New"

An email communicating the newly created login name will be sent to the authorized payer(s). A second email will be sent communicating their temporary password. Your authorized payer(s) has 7 days to log into IRISHPAY and reset their password, which completes the setup of their account access

 

How can authorized payers access IRISHPAY?
  • An authorized payer must first be granted access to IRISHPAY by the student per the above instructions.
  • Authorized payers will receive an email notification from IRISHPAY notifying them that they have been added as an authorized payer.
  • The authorized payer must use the link in the email to create a new password within 7 days.
  • Authorized payers can visit our homepage and click on the Authorized Payers Login button on the right side of the page to be linked to the IRISHPAY sign-in page.
  • Authorized payers will then have secure 24/7 access to IRISHPAY. We encourage you to add IRISHPAY to your website "favorites."
  • Both students and authorized payers will be notified via email when the monthly student account statement is available.
What is an authorized payer doesn’t receive an email when the monthly student account statement is available?

Email reminders are generated if there has been monthly activity on the student account or an outstanding balance exists. Please contact the Office of Student Accounts if you believe you should have received an email and did not.

What if an authorized payer forgets their IRISHPAY login name and/or password?

Go to the IRISHPAY login screen and click on "Forgot Login Name" and/or "Forgot Password" and follow the online instructions. You can also contact your student to have them provide the login name.

What if my authorized payer password expires?

An authorized payer’s password will expire if they have not logged in the 90 days. If you receive a message that your password has expired take the following steps:

  • Select "Forgot Password"
  • Enter your Login Name
  • Select "Reset Password"
  • An email will be sent to the authorized payer, with a link to setup a new password
  • Select the link
  • Setup your new password and keep it saved in a secure location for your reference
  • Please note that the newly created password must be different from your previous four passwords
What if I am locked out for entering an incorrect password?

Authorized payers will be locked out of their IRISHPAY account after six failed login attempts. If you receive a message indicating that you have reached your limit of login attempts, take the following steps:

  • Wait 30 minutes for the account to unlock automatically
  • Contact your student and have them remove you as an authorized payer and then re-add you
How can an authorized payer update their email address in IRISHPAY?

The student will need to delete the current authorized payer profile and re-add you as an authorized payer again using a new login name and your new email address.

Can an authorized payer make payments for more than one student account?

Yes, an authorized payer can make payments for more than one student account; however, they will need to log in to each separate IRISHPAY account to make individual payments for each student.

Can I use the same login information if I have more than one student at Notre Dame and link accounts?

You cannot link IRISHPAY accounts if you have more than one student attending Notre Dame. You will need a separate login name but you can use the same password for both accounts. You will receive a separate email for each student every time we generate a statement.
